Position Summary

Federal Data Systems (FEDDATA) is looking for a Front-End Developer to join our development team and support capability development for FEDDATA’s Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) SaaS platform, Revelare™. This individual will work within our Platform team to develop and maintain feature rich sites suited to the market audience for multiple instances of FEDDATA’s platform, each targeting different market spaces.

This ideal candidate thrives with problem solving and is able to promptly solve web-related bugs and design issues. We are looking for someone who is organized, professional with internal and external customers, self-managed, and enjoys working in team settings.

Essential Job Functions

• Writing HTML and CSS code for various front-end elements
• Complete projects with attention to detail, free of mistakes, and follow outlined requirements.
• Reviews new datasets, vendors, and capabilities for integration within the existing SaaS environment and determines the best method of presenting information to users.
• Promotes internal best practices and coding conventions to write and execute tests for your own code, including creating comprehensive unit tests.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is required.
• Must have 5 years of experience with front-end development/web design within a professional environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, and Spring Boot.
• Required Security Clearance: None.

• Experience with JavaScript, Java Frameworks, and Spring Boot.
• Languages: Java, JavaScript, Shell, HTML, CSS.
• Operating System(s): Linux / Unix.
• Experience with working with ElasticSearch/OpenSearch clusters and familiarity with other NoSQL databases, such as Mongo Cassandra, ScyllaDB.
• Must be an efficient verbal, oral, and written communicator.

• Experience in identifying potential enhancements and leading new capability integration efforts.

Desired/Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency with Python.
• A knack for UX.
• Continued education and research into UI development trends and current design strategy and technology.
• Experience with large data integration, processing, and pipeline design/implementation to support data analysis, statistics, visualization, and reports.

Working Conditions:

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.

Physical Requirements:

May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.

Background Screening/Check/Investigation:

Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.
